The Trident Auto Drain Valve–EDV works on the principle of electronically timed condensate removal in compressed air systems. Compressed air carries moisture and oil, which collect in receivers and filters, and the EDV uses a solenoid valve controlled by an electronic timer to discharge this condensate at preset intervals. When the timer activates, the valve opens briefly to expel the collected condensate, then closes to prevent air loss. This automatic operation eliminates the need for manual draining, ensures dry compressed air, and protects downstream equipment from damage.
