The Trident TBAS operates using the principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA). Moist, compressed air first passes through pre-filters to remove liquids and particulates. It then enters one of the desiccant-filled towers, where the desiccant captures water vapor, yielding dry, breathing-quality air. Meanwhile, a portion of this dry air is used to regenerate the desiccant in the alternate tower by purging trapped moisture. The towers switch roles in a timed sequence to provide uninterrupted, moisture-free air.
